We
started the day out in Covent Garden to do some shopping and for the Great
Christmas Pudding Race. If you are going to be in London in December, find out
if the race will be going on while you are there. It was great fun, and raised
money for Cancer Research UK.
After
lunch, we decided to go back to our hotel and relax, as we had plans to be out
late that evening. However, we got on the bus going the wrong way. This wasn't
as bad as it could have been, as we got to see more of London and the St Paul's
area than we may have otherwise.
We got
back on the bus going the correct direction and went through Regent Street and
Oxford Street, both of which had many Christmas decorations as well as a ton of
people doing some Christmas shopping.
That
evening we were picked up at our hotel by our soon to be friend, who took us to
the London Branch of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society's Christmas
Dance. There we did some dancing, and met many very nice, and friendly people.
They made us feel very welcome. This was one of our most enjoyable evenings in
London.
The Demo
team performed during the break in the dancing. They had great choreography and
it was really neat to see a demo dance done to live music.
After the
dance, we went to the pub with a group from the dance. We closed the pub down,
and went back to our hotel.
